How Thermography works

Thermography is a non-invasive, painless method for breast screening used to detect unusual heat patterns in breast tissue. Thermography uses a highly sensitive infrared camera that captures these temperature variations and transfers them to a computer to create a detailed thermal image of the breast.

The breast screening method has been tested on over 100,000 women at more than 100 hospitals/diagnostic centers and in over 5,000 other screening settings. Results from several clinical studies comparing this method with current standard care have been published in peer-reviewed conferences/journals. The results from these clinical tests indicate a very high accuracy of the screening method, which is comparable to, and in some cases better than, mammography.
